Casting in the Park
Where: Heather Park, 702 W 18th Avenue and Heather Street, Vancouver
When: Saturday September 24, 2011
Time: 12:00 to 2:00 PM
Cost: $0.00 for members and youth; $5.00 for non-members
Young Guns Fly will be organizing a casting session in the park like no other. A full course styled after David Lamberts Smart Casts (www.fedflyfishers.org) will be setup with casting challenges to help improve both your distance and accuracy while being a ton of fun. Just think of frizby golf but for fly casting.
What you need: Any single or double-handed fly rod setup will work. Remember to bring some yarn for your fly. If you are new to fly casting then no problem, we will have a few extra rods available. Please email David Fauquier for further questions.

Fly Tying Nights
Where: Pacific Angler, 232 West Broadway, Vancouver
When: TBD
Time: 7:00 to 10:00 pm
Cost: Donate one fly to the "Young Guns Fly Box"
What you need: fly tying tools, vice and materials. If tools and vice are required extras may be available (Please email YGF in advance). Materials can be purchased at Pacific Angler.
Come for a night of tying flies and telling lies with Young Guns Fly and Pacific Angler. 'Fly Tying Nights' is for all levels and is usually the event of the month. A great night to create a new evolution of bugs, share hilarious stories, and hype-up that next fishing trip.
